Job Description:
National Manufacturing company seeking a Maintenance Mechanic.
Duties will include various tasks involved in manufacturing, as well as miscellaneous production tasks.
This position will be for the 1st shift and 2nd shift.
Plant is located in San Dimas Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all production equipment (i.
e.
cutting, prep, and assembly) Complete all projects in a safe and timely fashion with a focus on customer service (i.
e.
installation of new production lines, workshop reorganization, create jigs and dies, workstation improvements, etc.
) Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing thorough preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment and facility maintenance improvements Supports production by working cross-functionally as a team with Product Developers, Process Engineers, and Maintenance Supervisors Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or equivalent relevant experience Technical Degree (2 years) in Electro-Mechanics, related electronics, or technical field is preferred Minimum 4 years working as an industrial mechanic Technical skills for trouble shooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics Knowledge of sewing equipment is a plus Fabricating skills:
ability to design and create tools, jigs, etc.
Computer Literate:
PLC (Programmable Logistic Controls), Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to work in a fast paced, product launch, hands-on, and high tech environment Great communication skills within all levels of the organization Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and action oriented mindset Bilingual language skills:
