Associate Director of Billing

Description Summary: The Associate Director, Billing is responsible for the billing, collection and provider payment operations of our growing company, as well as, leading the team that plans, develops, and implements various initiatives. The position requires strong managerial, leadership, and business office skills, including critical thinking and the ability to produce and present operations performance.  This role is also responsible for building, expanding and maintaining QTC's billing operation that supports all Lines of Business.  This role works in collaboration with Accounting, Provider Relations and Operations to ensure contract compliance.  The individual is responsible for developing the team to ensure competency in billing and collection and infusing industry best practices to improve efficiencies.  Ensures leadership, financial, operational and contractual performance goals are met through innovation and continuous process improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively manages billing/invoicing and collections process to maximize cash flow while improving customer relations Manages provider payment process and timely dispute resolution with providers Ensures development and documentation of flow diagrams, training materials, policies and procedures Implements policy and procedures to ensure contract compliance Ensures team compliance with company/department/team policies, procedures, workflows, and guidelines Effectively manages the employee lifecycle to include recruitment, employee training and employee career development and employee retention Provides day to day leadership through communication, coaching and mentoring, project management and delegation to the multiple team leaders and their corresponding employees Develops standardized processes and procedures designed to ensure the highest level of team effectiveness and efficiency Reports billing operations metrics and drives continuous process improvement through innovation based on performance indicators and/or feedback from customers (internal and external), leaders, and employees Collaborates with leaders, end users, and customers (both internal and external) on assigned projects/ tasks Effectively manages expenses to ensure achievement of company financial goals Manages, prioritizes, and successfully executes multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision, using well documented project plans Other projects and duties as assigned Competencies: Superior leadership skills Solid project and change management skills Experience in developing and managing a budget Excellent analytical, data analysis, problem-solving, creative-thinking and presentation skills Strong ability to utilize various project management tools to coordinate and manage complex projects Ability to handle confidential information Superior written and verbal communication skills Ability to quickly foster relationships and credibility at all levels Excellent organization and follow-up skills Strong Microsoft Office skills Advance Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred Thorough understanding of the revenue cycle including medical billing, collections, payment posting and audits Working knowledge of CPT and ICD codes, HCFA 1500, HIPAA and medical terminology Highly self-motivated with superior ability to work independently with minimum direction Ability to travel 10-20% maybe required  Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Business, Science or related health field, or equivalent experience/combined education required, Master's Degree preferred Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation This job description supersedes all prior job descriptions and is intended to describe the general content and essential requirements for the position listed above. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
