10-Week Project - Staff Accountant - TEMP only

Job Description

QPA is seeking a Skilled Staff Accountant for a 10-Week Project. This position is ONLY temporary so please only apply if able to fully commit to 10-Week Contract Assignment. Pay rate begins at $31-33 hr.


Our ideal is candidate is advanced with Excel (pivot tables & vlookups) as the majority of responsibilities will involve heavy usage of Excel


Essential Job Duties:



  • Process and review information and data used to generate the monthly general ledger and attendant subsidiary ledgers, records and reports in compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS,

  • Assist with month-end closing including preparation of various month-end and quarter-end journal entries and daily entries in various system modules in compliance with GAAP, FAR, and applicable CAS



  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis o Interact with internal and external auditors including development of analyses and schedules for audits o

  • Help ensure adherence with policies designed to help maintain GAAP, SOX, FAR, and applicable CAS compliance


Requirements:



  • Fully commit to 10-Week Contract (TEMP only)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

  • At least 5-7 years experience as Staff Accountant

  • Must be Advanced in General Ledger & Excel - Testing will be provided



  • Detail-oriented, attention to detail, and strong sense of urgency

  • Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Background & Credit Check

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
