PERMANENT ?JOB SUMMARYThe Field Technology Manager supervises and directs the Field Technology Services Department staff in all activities associated with the management of technology systems exclusively supporting Utilities business operations. The manager works to ensure that all technology-related activities in Utilities comply with company policies and procedures, meet the needs of business operations, and are aligned where necessary with the company?s IT Department. The manager acts as the lead project manager on all technology related business transactions and activities, supported by an analyst.?The manager is focused on identifying, developing, and implementing technology deployments for Utilities, with the goal of driving increased efficiency, controls and standardization across all aspects of the businesses. The manager recommends the strategic direction of technology within the organization, with input from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, and based on industry trends and best practices. The manager is responsible for facilitating the completion and documentation of the Utilities Technology Strategic Plan, which identifies technology deployments on a 5-year roadmap.?DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSWorks with leadership and internal stakeholders to identify and deploy technology systems aligned with business needs.Maintains the Utilities Technology Strategic Plan and identifies and develops updates; recommends strategies and policies.Implements the organization?s technology strategy consistent with the Utilities Technology Strategic Plan.Drives innovative business improvements by developing and iterating business processes aligned to the use of technology; sets the environment of continuous improvement to ensure maximum results with technology systems.Leads the assessment of new technology systems, including the development of business requirements and evaluation and selection of vendors.Leads project management for the deployment of new technology systems for Regulated Utilities, from contracting with the vendor to overseeing staff training and going live with the system.Provides supervision? and guidance for the use of? existing technology systems; potentially including but not limited to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system, Geographic Information System, PowerPlan capital asset management system, Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing system, the PlanetBids eProcurement system, water quality tracking system, Enterprise Content Management system, and platforms supporting mobile workforce management field applications.Defines the approach to data integration and sharing among technology systems, including the management of high volume SCADA and AMR/AMI data.Ensures effective and timely communication with the businesses; liaises closely with IT and Finance as needed.Manages the supplier/vendor relationship for Cloud technology deployments and collaborates with IT for on premise deployments; leads issue resolution, contracting, Service Level Agreements, software updates, and system upgrades and expansions.Fosters relationships with contacts at peer utilities for technology knowledge-sharing and product case studies; attends industry events and other external opportunities to bring new technology ideas to the company.Supports staff by helping to recruit, select, orient, and train employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; and developing personal growth opportunities.Assures that all activities are executed in a manner consistent with Corporate IT Business Processes, standards & policies, and the Company Code of Conduct.Performs other duties as directed and assigned by the VP.?QUALIFICATIONSGeneralist, with a minimum of ten (10) years of strategic planning, project management and leadership experience in a cross-functional function involving technology and business.?Will consider candidates who have directly led the paperless automation for a field services operations effort for a nationwide deployment.?SME in field operations for the Utility industry.?EDUCATIONBachelor?s Degree required (Master?s Degree preferred) in job-related area.Relevant certifications will also be considered (IT or project management related). - provided by Dice

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
